Hello

I'm the owner of a Wilson KSix-One Tour 90 and i've never had it re-strung before. I'm still using it with the strings that came with it (Wilson Sensation @ 55 pounds). I've been using it once every week for two hours the last few months, and I know it's just a matter of time before one of the stirngs snatch. So - I really need some advice as for what I should restring it with, if that's even possible.

I'm still very much a beginner, but i'm very happy about playing with the racket, and my only problem with it is that I feel that the strings have lost (maybe they've always been like this) too much tension.

I'm interested in a setting which will allow me to practice a lot with the racket without the strings snatching easily.

Thanks!

I have k-gut pro 16 in my k90, it is a very good string, its very soft. I have heard that gut is really good in a k90.

Gut all the way? Or do you mix it with synth?

supermario343:
Is that 100% synth?

So I see you are both at around 58/57 pounds on your rackets - that's a little above my current 55. I'm hoping to raise it a little so can you guys recommend the 58/57 setting over my current?

I used the champoins choice in mine. One is strung at 55 the other 53. The 53 is just about perfect, but may take it down to 51/52 to see how that goes. Think these rackets can take a lowish tension quite well but i guess its all down to personal taste.

Good luck, its an awesome racket strung right.

k-gut pro is actually a multifilament. It is a very nice string, it plays like gut since it is very soft. I would also think about babolat tonic, thats what i might get next. As for tension, im at 58 right now but i think 60 for me is probably better, you should go up about 2 pounds at a time and see what you like.

I have three K90s all strung with ALU Power Rough and Klip Legend at 51/54lbs. It's heaven for me.

I think it feels better with softer multis, but that racket goes through strings really fast. Poly's would last you longer, but they feel...harsh.

Thanks for all the replies.

I've tried having a bad day where i've hit more than 50% of the balls above the sweet spot, and because of all the vibrations after an hour that meant it actually began to hurt. This has only happend once though heh.

I think i'll try increasing the tension by 2 pounds next time meaning from the current 55 to 57.
I'll try to see what kind of strings they offer around here, it's rather limited, but I hope I can find some of the versions you guys have recommended.
