What level are you guys at right now?

I'd like to think I'm a 4.0, but some days I worry that I may not be up to snuff. :(

4.0 ish for me. Southeast Michigan has such good teenagers though...there are probably like 5.5s around at the top schools.

I'd say I'm between a 3.5 and a 4.0. Hopefully by the end of the season I'll be up to a 4.0 Our 1st singles is undoubtably a 5.5. He ELIMINATED the other team's first singles player we were playing today: 14 minutes to bagel the opponent in the first set, 17 in the second. He lost a total of 4 points: 2 on double faults.

well self ratings can be inflated so i always just say 3.5+ since i'm a safe 3.5

do you play high school or college tennis?

yes, i agree that self ratings seem to consistently be inflated... probably a good .5 around here. there is so much more to it then reading the short description to self rate. you have to be able to play points, use strategy, and have consistent results playing at that level. being a 3.5 on a good day does not make you a 3.5.

right now i am playing on a decent JC team in SoCal and would self rate @ 4.0. i am a left handed all courter. i plan on playing in some leagues and tournies at the 4.0 level when i leave for school in NoCal after this semester.
