Every pair of Adidas shoes I've ever tried, be it running or tennis, have fit very, very narrow in the heel. It feels like I'm stepping on the sides of the shoe almost. I only have tried the Barricade II's in their tennis line; do any of their other models that have more room in the heel?

A3 have the same tight fit. The older FYW or Stabils were wider.
Craig, I heard from another sports fanatic that Nike generally make wider fitting shoes while Adidas tend to make narrower fitting shoes. My own experiences give credence to what this other guy told me. In your case, you'll probably find more Nike shoes that fit you than Adidas models.

actually, I think it's quite the opposite. Take a look at the adidas barricade 3s and the nike breathe free 2s. I wear the B3s cause they fit wider and they do definitely look much wider than my friends Niks BF2s whos feet are a lot less wider than mine.

The only Nike shoes that have fit me well were the Air Court Motion Internationals. I loved, loved, loved those shoes. Should've ordered more while they were still available. Nikes are usually too narrow in the toe box for me, and Adidas is too narrow in the heel. The only thing I didn't like about the Barricades was the narrow heel. Right now I've got a pair of Lottos and like them, but they're nowhere near as cushy as the Air Court Motion Internationals. Haven't had a chance to try the Vapors, but the Breathe Frees and Voltage didn't fit.
Sorry not meaning to be contradictory, I went to a tennis "warehouse" type showroom and tried on 9 different shoes before I found these Lottos that fit. So I expect not to find much.

I agree with Raven. I can't wear Nike shoes because they are much too narrow for me. I don't even have a wide foot, in fact, I've been told my foot is a little narrow. I've tried all kinds of Nike tennis sneakers & I am unable to get the proper room in the heel or width. Adidas on the other hand, no matter which style, fits roomy & comfortable

New Balance has width sizes, so you might be able to find a better fit from their shoes.
