Im getting my friend a racket for his birthday, and im getting him an aeropro drive cortex plus. he said he likes spin over power. so what strings would go well with the apdc+ that geenrate more spin?

What style of play is this person?
What string do they currently use?
My preference for a spin string is a POLY (Blue Gear 1.28)

Any thin gauge, low powered string will help with string potential, but remember it only helps string POTENTIAL. Without proper technique, you wont be able to fully utilize the spin potential.
That said, Happy Birthday to your friend. I just hope he likes the cortex system.

go for a poly or a multifilament string..probably look into babolats strings like the pro hurricane tour/xcel premium or luxilons but be warned they are very stiff and quite expensive.
Oh, lastly if you want a cheaper string which i found quite good, go for head rip control, they have lots of spin potential.

Kevlar Gear (maybe Forten?).
My stringer cursed me when I had him string that one - shredded his fingers.
Might be awfully stiff for that racket, though.

The swing produces spin, not the strings...
