i know that this is a very dangerous and not good thing to slide on a hard court, but can anyone tell me how to slide on a hard court??? something like what Gael Monfils does alot of the times...thnx

wear shoes that are worn out and have no traction. you should be able to slide all over the place.

First of all, you need shoes that have as little traction as possible and a court that is old or has a very fine finish and, possibly, lots of dust.

Then, as mentioned above, you need to distribute your weight almost evenly over both feet and keep your balance.

Having said that, I do not especially recommend sliding on hard courts.

On the more slippery type of clay court people learn to slide because if they try to stop and change directions suddenly, their feet will often lose traction and slip out from under them (an uncontrolled slide).

On hard courts you can change directions, or stop completely, without the risk of uncontrolled slipping. The only reason to slide on hard courts is for showmanship.
