replacement grips

I bought 2 vintage racquets from TW. I put one in storage and in the course of play, replaced the grip w/ Volkyl leather. Yest. the string broke so I picked out my other racquet only to find that it seemed to weight less. It has the original leather grip, and I had thought one leather grip would weigh as much as the next? Has anyone else noticed this. These racquets come from the Bossworth collection, so I assumed they were all weighted and balanced to the same point. Does anyone know who even makes the original leather grip?

You never say what racket, or what kind of grip it had originally. TW does occasionally replace the original because the old ones rot as they age.

Sorry Steve, I wasn't trying to be mysterious, but I don't know how many people are familiar w/ LeCoq Sportif Mid? The original grip is also branded w/ LeCoq.
