French - not likely

Wimbledon - less than 50% chance

US Open - less than 50% chance

He will be doing well if he wins any.

He has retired already, didn't you know? He listened to all the knowledgable tennis experts in this forum(low IQ Nadal bootlickers) and decided to call it quits.Rafa will now go on to win 30+ slams and will not lose a match this year,Vamos.

I'd be willing to say at least one, and that would be wimbledon.

no offence to Fed fan, but he wont win any slam this year consider the way he is playing right now, i.e stay at baseline, not much slice and hit too soft, not enough killer shot, too long rally ! Not what he used to do the past few years.

exactly, be the predator Fed again. Go for the shot.

This should be a poll.

I can't say. Anything can happen but with the way Federer is playing currently I would say zero. Hopefully he will improve his level again.

He has no chance at the French. And i think Nole is going to take the US open.. The slam he does have a chance at is Wimbledon. Thats the only one i can picture him winning at this point in time.

It'd be real funny if this all turns around, and he wins the French, Wimbledon and Us Open.

Agreed. Maybe we're pushing the envelope way too much here, but, still agreed.

I'm a huge Fed fan but the evidence is clearly mounting.

Why not put your money where your mouth is instead of just shooting your mouth.

On this website, you can bet on Fed to win. Note betting has been suspended as the odds are being re evaluated subsequent to today's loss.

On this website 1 win is about as likely as none.

If you really believe in the Fed, put up or shut up.

nah, he'll proly come back and play better than now. but the challenge is that other players have catched up and he is increasingly toward on the older side among top 10.

if he doesn't do well in clay season, very high mounting pressure at wimbledon. maybe put himself in same situation as sampras in 1996 when he had must win situation at us open (had to throw up on the court).

Obviously there is no market for Wimbledon and US Open. He is obviously an outsider for the French.

If you would like an even money bet on Fed winning Wimbledon or US Open, I am prepared to accept it. If Fed wins, I would pay up with glee because I'd love to see him win. I can hedge my happiness by betting against Fed.

There is of course no betfair market on these events yet.

I agree with the FO & USO.

Wimbledon I put as most likely (more than 50%).

i think the drop off of federre's win percentage is so steep this year that i'm starting to wonder if it's just his strategy to win more slams.

if the year continues the way it's been for federer i think it's conceivable that he will not win a single slam in the year 2008.

If you are so sure of this, put your money where your mouth is. Go to betfair. You can back Fed to win 2 slams. I am offering a generous price of $4. If you go to sportstab, they are only offering $3.50.

Just checked out this betfair site you mention... Has anyone here ever actually bet on tennis through these websites?

If so, tell us Americans all about this strange online-betting-on-tennis world...

It's kind of tempting, I must say. Lay a bunch of money down on Serena tomorrow or something like that...

If he does not get a coach: zero.
Federer has become a 2nd-rate defensive counterpuncher.

So you are saying he isn't slicing enough but he is hitting too soft? Won't slicing make him hit even softer then?
