I usally play with a racquet that has a recommanded string tension of 50-60. I like to string it around 65. so i just got a racquet that has a recommanded string tension of 55-65. So my question is should i change my string tension to 70 or more or does it not mader. THANKS




P.S. I didnt know where to put this so I i put in in this section srry if it is wrong

If you like the string tension of 65, stick with it, I guess. At least the new racquet has that tension within its recommended range.

Possibly it might get better responses in the stringing section.

Usually, the reasons why a racquet would have a higher recommended tension range is because the head is bigger, the string pattern is more open, or it is a heavy frame, ergo, you have to cut down on the power by bringing up the tension. Doing 70 on your racquets may give you the control you crave but it would in the long haul, weaken your frame if you string quite often. Why not just get stiffer strings and stay within the recommended range?
