Many coaches in the New York area are very protective of their prized students and don't allow them to have practice sets against other top juniors from other facilities... Would this be a big factor in Eastern juniors doing better at national tournaments?

Tom how are you? this is a factor even on the west coast ,Deiton was playing a boy at the high performance center a top 14 yr old when the coaches realized it was 4 all they had deit start serve and volley it was a way of protecting the boys confidence, couldn't afford the loss.

it has to do with self- asteem ,something i think is worthless!

Hey Brad... I'm doing well. My friends academy in Florida interacts(play matches) with other academies all the time with no sense of insecurity and he believes it helps his students prepare for upcoming tournaments. Btw, Deiton didn't play the Spring Chmps.?

we play anyone anytime its the best medicine, then you take out all the nerves out of your player ,doesnt matter what age group deit believes hes the favorite no matter what the seedings say.

About the springs we spent 2 weeks down there(florida) learned a lot, saw the competition thats out there and when we returned we re-thought our course on taking Deit pro ,we will be very selective about what tournys we play but our junior schedule will be very limited!

Brad... I have my juniors playing less tournaments... practice and train hard... build up for a few tournaments... it's difficult b/c of the system we are apart of but it's definitely better for development. If you look at all the top jrs., they take off months at a time before doing a series of tournaments... is that what you will doing w/Deiton?

Good for the individual, bad for the group? What happened to giving back to the sport? Top talent seems to be impossible to seek out, others hit every tournament regardless of athleticism. Seems the PPR is making juniors run hot and cold. You guys have seen more, give some insight? Is there a middle ground for anybody with promise?

if you really are a top player you should be able to play with anyone and do your best, and also block out the mental negatives.
