Just came across this on the Davis Cup website.
most singles wins in DC play by American players:
McEnroe 41
Agassi 30
Ashe 27
Roddick 27
Pretty amazing, I wonder how close he'll get to Mac before he's done. Wonder if the media has any idea of this.

Also Mac's record in doubles was 18-2. The Bryans right now are at 14-1.
People here like to rag on Andy and John, but you cannot dispute their dedication to Davis Cup. Mac has talked about it often, making it sound like skipping a Davis Cup tie was not an option (for him). Andy too is totally dedicated. One could make a good argument that he plays his best tennis at Davis Cup.

Sampras's record is pretty suprising. 15-8.

Pass Ashe? The only thing Andy will be passing this weekend is a kidney stone.
lol. j/k. I'm a Roddick fan. I just thought it would be a funny joke.

Looks like Roddick will stay at 29 wins in 2009.

Why did Russia have to play at USA last year when it was the defending champion? Answer: countries take turns as host nation.

Sampras's record is pretty suprising. 15-8.
Many times he played on a slow court so the opponent had the edge over him.
