This is a revision of an old thread of mine (2005).
Who do you think is the greatest serving country?
I have to say Croatia :)

While Karlovic improved a lot, Mardy Fish also stands out as a big time server.

Clement and Grosjean may be small, but they make France a world power in the WSC! ;)

Tough one to call. Obviously, Sampras and Roddick's serve allowed them to "rule" the tennis world and reach world number 1. However, You can't deny Croatia can really bomb them down! I'd say the US though. Maybe just because of sheer pace (Roddick and Dent having both broken 150mph)

Yep pace does it for me and Id have to go with USA. Croats are as good as you get but US guys serve bigger imo.

very good question...i have to go with usa simply because of all the threads that say, "where would roddick be without his serve?"...plus sampras's serve was just put in tennis magazine as the best shot in the open era

What about Isner? And, if we go back a little further, the US can add Tanner, Ashe, Smith, Gonzales, Kramer and Budge. US, in a rout.

The balls in your court.

What about John Mcenroe?

Ivanisevic's serve tips it for me.

Probably the best serve ever imo.

I thought Isner was American?

Andres, you're missing Isner!!

I had to go USA on this one, Pete's second serve was the clincher.

Not enough matches. He has a better serve than Dent and Fish, though. But I'm also missing Cilic, who also has a cannon of a serve.
