It's not really a good investment as a beginner to go to a tennis academy. Take some private lessons and see if you like the sport and want to stick with it. Then after that you can shell out loads of money to go to academy. And when you have that money, go to Spain.

since your a begginer its not gonna matter a whole lot. just go to one that will get you in local tournies alot. also most academies will keep you in the 3-4 people on a court a time. also since your a beginer your gonna get treated like one. dont be shocked when your on a crap court with one of the lower coaches. ive been to a few academies in florida and there all the same for beginners. unless you live in europe already spain is a bad idea. its far and your a beginner so you just need to hit alot of balls right now with a little bit of push in the right direction.

go to a whole bunch this summer to see if you like them. go for a week when its unbelievably crowded and see how they handle it. is it hectic or organized. if its hectic with people all over i would avoid it as there not organized and you would get lost in the system.

and lastly get in shape. your gonna hit a solid 4 hours and do 1 hour of fitness a day. so be inshape. there is nothing worse than a rich kid crying through fitness.

Try scoben.com. They have a small academy in the southeast. The program never has more than 10-12 players at any time. The director has developed some of the best 10 and 12 & under players. He coached Thai Kwiatkowski up till he was 11 years old and his other players have won like a ton of state qualifiers and championships in those younger age groups. I have heard it is hard to get into the program sometimes because it is small, but they do get results.

might not be what you want to hear, but it is the truth and you have to appreciate that
