i really like the ice. it plays nice with a lot of spin. the only problem i have is that its hard to string since its really hard. hard to weave you know.

dont use it in a full bed unless you can handle it, and it is one of the worst poly's out there for TE, so only get it if you need it, and use it in a hybrid.

it is a cheap and inexpensive string, $30 for a 660' reel is budget so if you need to go cheap then try it out but it is not a soft string. It is ok in a hybrid but you get what you pay for.

The Ice is a little more comfortable, and it plays more "normal" for a cheap poly compared to the regular polylon. The regular polylon has a bit of a break in period, but plays OK after. I would recommend the Ice over the regular polylon. I STRONGLY recommend investing the extra $20 or so dollars and upgrading to something along the lines of Topspin Poly Polar or Gosen Polylon SP. Both are comfortable polys with a bit of zip. Tension maintenance and all above mentioned strings isn't so great, though.

I second of the recommendation for the Polylon SP. I bought a reel of the 17 gauge a while back and it's the best inexpensive soft poly that I've tried. For the price, I think it's well worth a look.

For a poly, it's pretty easy to handle stringing, though it does stretch a bit more than I'm use to and it takes a little longer than normal for me to get the balance right on my drop weight machine.

I've tried a number of the cheaper Gosen polys and for me none come close to playing as well as the Polylon SP 17. I know it costs more than some, but in this case I think price does reflect quality.
