Davis Cup- change of format?

Davis Cup has become predictable over the last few years with the home team gaining a significant advantage due to surface choice. For instance, the semi final between Spain and USA almost seems a guaranteed lock for the Spanish. To make the event more interesting, I think the latter stages of Davis Cup should be played using a home and away format system. This would be like a 'two legged affair', similar to football matches in europe. Granted, this would impinge on the current ATP Schedule but more importantly, it would provide a better representation of the best 'tennis nation' in the world.

Any opinions?

They are adding ATP points in 2009, it will have some change on the event. The rest should stay the same.

I think the fact that points will be rewared to Davis Cup is indeed bad. Countries with strong fields like U.S.A will be getting more points than countries like Switzerland.
