View Full Version : Volkl Tour 9 (not V-e) - - help (nobad?)

I'm sure you've commented on this before but I couldn't find it on search, so I appologize in advance. If anybody knows of prior threads where this was discussed, please advise.

I like the specs, so I was wondering about
off-center and Upper hoop feel/response?
General comfort and control (i.e., stringbed predictability)?

Seems like it would be stiff, but my very limited experience with Volkl has convinced me that at least some of their frames are comfortable despite high stiffness ratings.

i've hit the discontinued Tour9. it's nice if you want something that feels stiffer but yet precise. it's not quite as forgiving in the upper hoop and out of the sweetspot as many of the flexy bats but is very solid. the stringbed is very consistent. this frame reminds me quite a bit of the Slaz X1, so if you hit that one, it might give you a reference point. it's a fairly demanding frame though sweetspotwise.
