Any real difference a 4.5 can feel between babolat team 17 or babolat tonic 16 used as a cross, big ace being the main string?

I wouldn't say so, not in that combination.

I agree. You could probably use PSG in the crosses and be just as well off.

I agree with Rabbit. A good syn would be just as good.

I doubt it.

I think a syn gut would lose tension and break faster : /

3 days on hard tru and the gut snaps, takes around 7-10 on hard courts.

If you're a 4.5 you have hit tons of balls in your life and should have a great feeling for how a ball feels coming off your strings. Comparing PSG to NG is like comparing apples and a dog - there is no comparison to be made. NG will bite the ball much better providing increased power and spin.

As for the original post, there is a difference but it is subtle. I've played with all the Babolat NGs in my crosses and find the differences to be small, albeit noticable (I also tried NG in the mains in my hybrid just to see how it felt --> I hated it; very spongy and springy string bed).

If you're on a budget, go with Tonic; ball feel is still incredible. If money is not an option, get the vsTeam because in theory, it will be the most playable.
