Lead causes tinny feel

Has anyone experienced a tinny feel when you use lead strips?

Lately I tried adding H shaped lead strips at 3 and 9 (3 grams each). My frame (Head MGMP) felt a bit hollow and tinny with it.

Is this usual while using lead? What else could be the cause of this?

I feel sort of the same way...I cant stand having any lead tape on my frames...even a few grams just feels strange.

Not usual in my experience, every frame i have added lead to at 3 & 9 has felt more solid - that is the point

I find the complete opposite. The lead lessens the "tinny feel". I Have 4 POG longbody racquets and the lead makes them feel much more solid.

Obviously longer strips give a better solid feel than short ones.
I removed the 1 inch H-shaped lead strips and replaced them with ca. 4,5 inch long strips at 3 and 9 position. No tinny feel anymore.

complete opposite for me. it gets rid of that tinny feel and makes it more solid although slightly less crisp
