What would you say that the best thing to do during the summer would be? Especially on a low budget? something that would really help improve your game the most.

Well this might not be available to you but I live a 2 minute walk from a country club with tennis so what I do is get up first thing in the morning, get my stuff and pack a lunch or get one there and meet my friend ,who also plays tennis, who lives across the street and we walk there and go play tennis all day and usually other people come so we play doubles and what not.

If you live in an area with leagues or even an active tennis community, get in touch with people who play. When you see people at the courts who would be a good match for you, ask them to play sometime.

Just find a hitting partner who is committed and has as much time as you so you can practice a lot over the summer. Also it might be smart to join one of the USTA summer leagues and play with other serious tennis players. I found that playing with people that were a lot better than me help me improve rapidly

^^^really??? I would find someone who is good and has time in the day and just make sure they are committed to getting better. one summer i hit with my second coach who was like 55 but looked 35 every single day for the whole summer

Ya public courts are just as good as a country club as long as you have people to play with.
