According to Tennis Magazine, Berdych had a surprising 9-0 record in five set matches until his loss to Safin in Davis Cup.

Too bad. I changed my opinion on him. He seems like a nice guy but made a mistake in Madrid. I think he has changed since.

Berdych badly sprained his ankle in Davis Cup vs Russia. He's supposedly out for a month. He's gonna lose a load of points from Monte Carlo SF last year. He'll be out of the top ten for sure.
