and on the ladies' side, it's a battle between Serena and Justine.

Djokovic not a threat on clay? lmao Also Ivanovic and Jankovic are very solid on clay.

Djokovic is a great player, no doubt, but the french open is very physical demanding. Federer and Nadal have no problem playing best of 5 sets on slow red clay but I don't know about Djokovic.

I mentioned Serena and Justine because lately, Serena has been winning everything and Justine is the equivalent of Nadal on the red clay.

Ferrer is a much bigger threat than Djokovic, hell, even Nalbandian is.

Thanks for posting that, I'm going to keep up with his little count-down. It's nice to imagine other contenders for the title other than 1,2, and maybe 3 unless he retires at some point.

i dont see djoker making a dent at all at the french. he has the shots, but not the fitness. i foresee a couple "breathing problems."

it'll be no different than when he retired against nadal at the french a couple years ago and said he felt like he was "in control" the whole time, if anybody remembers that.

nadal and federer r still the only serious contenders in my book, with nalby and ferrer cleaning out the rest of the field.

Nalbandian doesn't do anything on clay these days unless he is in a field of nobodys. Djokovic has yet to play his best tennis on clay. Ferrer's best has already been seen.

No, he's not. bluescreen's message is right on the mark.

It's a format very well useable for a good discussion on all players and how far they can reach. Why start talkin bout Djokovic, Federer and Nadal immediately again. There are millions of topics on them

i dont see why you guys all bash djokovic about his clay performance. he made the semis last year at RG. thats got to say something.

Indeed. Getting to the semis is quite an achievement and from what I remember he failed to close out the first set against Nadal though it would be good if someone could clarify this.

Why? He's made huge dents in the past. He's having his best year so far.

it'll be no different than when he retired against nadal at the french a couple years ago and said he felt like he was "in control" the whole time, if anybody remembers that.

nadal and federer r still the only serious contenders in my book, with nalby and ferrer cleaning out the rest of the field.

If Djokovic is healthy, I'll take him over Nalbandian and Ferrer at the French. Nalbandian had a questionable drop out at the French if you recall.

I'm interested in the draw, particularly which half Nalbandian and Djocovick end up in. Federer or Nadal's half.

Which makes it all the more RIDICULOUS putting him the top 16, let alone the top 30.

My early picks for dangerous watch-outs!: Wawrinka and Almagro.

Definitely agree with Almagro. This guy is incredible on clay. I would not be surprised for a quarterfinal or semi final finish for him if the draw works out that way. Wawrinka has had an impressive tournament in Rome and I hope he can keep this form at the French. I also hope Ferrero will play an aggressive style tennis at the French, which should get him a couple of wins.

I will go with Nadal, Federer, Davydenko, and Djokovic (his matches may not go that long and voila!)

What I'd like to see would be Nadal, Nadal, or Nadal!
