Well let me use my psychic powers to predict the future.

Is Nadal not playing Hamburg? He would lose a good chunk of points if he doesn't...

Could very well be. I can't see Nadal losing to anyone on clay for the rest of the season.

Yes I think he will accomplish this. And it is good that he is sitting out Hamburg. He's over 1000 points ahead of Djokovic. It's amazing that he has so many points that letting go of 350 is basically no big deal.

did he play Hamburg last year?

did he win 5 out of 5 last year? or 4 out of 5...

4 of 5, Fed got him in Hamburg, even bageled him in the final.

wow, he must have really lost it mentally or something to get bageled--considering he is handily winning every other clay match.

anyone remember what happened that match in hamburg?

I've been watching the classic FO's on the TTC. Was way more fun when you never really knew who was going to win, or even be in the finals. Faster Nadal exits, the more exciting it will be for everyone.

Only for Federer

Only for Federer

And for many of the other pros. It's like they all suddenly have a chance and it is potentially up for grabs. I feel Fed can be potentially quite vulnerable.

Fed lost the first set and came back roaring in sets 2 and 3 (2-6 6-2 6-0). The court was very fast and Feds FH was on, which is the shot the broke down at the French.

And Nadal was mentally and physically spent, he had just won 3 tournaments in a row including 2 master series...

I doubt he can win in Rome, this is his 3rd straight week playing, but I think he will win in Paris again.

when's the last time a player won 3 events in 3 weeks? Coria in '03?

Yeah, Fed's serve and fh were awesome in the last set. He wasn't missing. Kept rolling his own BH crosscourt to nadal's Fh, then would step up, and nail FH's down the line. Thing of beauty. Should of done this at the French.

Even though Nadal was tired in that match, I feel like Federer's high level of play was the bigger factor. He was vintage Federer in that last set.
