I am currently think of buying a dunlop 500, but I do not know which one to buy. Can someone tell me which to buy, tour or non-tour, and the racquets pro and cons.

Thank You

Well, I cannot tell you which one to buy, but I have the Tour version. Never tried the non Tour, as specs were not for me. I can tell you the 500 Tour is a SWEET racquet. It plays very similar to the Pure Drive, only it's much more comfortable with a bit better spin production. I was very surprised with the comfort level, even with a stiff string... Demo both!!

It is, of course, a matter of opinion (and you know what they say about those) but having tried both I can tell you that they are not even similar. The 500 is more powerful, has less control and is a vibration monster compared to the 500 Tour. I hated the 500 but the tour is my main stick and I love it. The one caveat is that it is a bit stiff and has given me the only bit of elbow discomfort I have ever had. In fairness, however, I should say that I string the racquet at 69 lbs. with Topspin CyberFlash which is, in all likelyhood, a contributing factor.

I have both racquets,I was using the 500 for a while with lead tape at 3,9 I like the feel but felt it was too light for my liking.I bought the tour version a couple of months ago and love the racquet.I got everything i liked about the 500 but heavier and better for me from the baseline, and a little more stable.Demo both I think you will like them

I should state I strung the 500 at 63 lbs.
with synthethic and found that to be a nice combo. The tour version I started with full alu power luxillon at 58, but now have settled at 53 lbs and like the power and control I get.

Definitely the Tour 500. I tried the Non-tour and it was a terrible racket. It was too light and too powerful so it had no Control, and it also has a cheap racket feel. Tour 500 is slightly heavier but more solid and better control as well with pretty good power. :)

I have my 500 Tour strung with Luxilon Big Banger Ace at 61lbs. :)

I tried them the other day and the 500 tour was much better.Although if you want lots of power go for the normal 500.

Definitely the Tour. I tried both, the non-Tour is too light and feels unstable. The Tour feels perfect . . . I have weighted it up a bit at 10 and 2 -- but even without lead tape it feels quite stable.

If in doubt demo both - but I agree with the other posters that the Tour is the way to go.

Definately Tour.
