:)Hi everyone!
Im in the market in purchasing a NEW performance racquet...
I was browsing through some reviews on couple of racquets. Well let me tell ya what I'm looking for in my definition of a perfect racquet for me... Never the less that I'm a pretty big guy, but I ENJOY VOLLEYING, nah I LOVE VOLLEYING!!! IM A SERVE AND VOLLEY GUY:) I've been looking through the rating charts on the review when you scroll down a couple pages on the review of the racquet. I want the volley rating to be in the 90s or higher, or just plain Volleyer's racquet.

Please help me find my racquet~:)
Thank you!!!

I have a Vantage VT221 (pre-built), that is my best volley stick. It feels incredibly solid and just so incredibly right.

I haven't tried the SP Tour, but the C10 is a good stick as well.

Try the Prosupex Uniflex MP3 ;)

Under rated but well worth a try.

Another vote for Head MG Prestige MP!

My first (flat) serve is very smoothly with the Head MG Prestige MP. This frame is quick at the net as well due its lower swingweight.

If you rely on a kick serve as part of your arsenel, I'd suggest any of the Precision Response series of Prince frames (660, Ti, and Warrior)...Wilson 6.1 line, Volkl C10 (if you like flex)

Volkl VE mid

BTW I wouldn't rely on the TW review ratings for volleys. Often they say. It would be difficult to imagine a better volley racquet and then they rate it at 78 or something for volleys.
It seems that certain Head and Wilson frames must obtain 80 plus scores and other brands 80 minus. Moreover the trend is to give all racquets between 78 and 83 the past few months/years. So the review scores are not really telling.

sorry to hijack the thread a little bit, but what do you guys think of the 08 rds 001 as a volleying stick?

it fits my all court game well.. and when i choose to serve and volley.. it also plays very well.

Look at the specs... thin beam +10pts HL, moderate sw= volleying gold.

if you can find a wilson 85 I'de use that or the k90. The k90 doesnt have much feel IMO but it has wicked power if you can get the racquet in place.

It isn't the stick, it's the player. One of our team's best volleyers uses a PD+, so go figure. However, I also play serve and volley most of the time and use the Wilson nBlade and it works well. I think it'd be a bit better with some lead, but I don't want to rip my shoulder off (already a decently high swingweight). However, the best volleying racquet I've ever used was the Slazenger Pro X1. It was a dream to volley with, and I really regret getting rid of them, but the string pattern was a bit too open for me.

When we say k90, we are referring to the Wilson K Factor KSix-One Tour 90.
It is the paintjob that Federer uses.

Well this player volleys a heck of a lot better with the Prestige than any babolat I ever picked up.
