View Full Version : Medical Insurance
Should junior players have medical insurance in place.
If so at what point should I consider obtaining this for my child.

Is this a joke? Of course your children should have medical insurance. Especially if they are playing sports. If I did not have insurance then my meniscus that I tore about a two months ago would have cost me around 16,000 dollars with surgery, MRIs, and doctor visits. But with insurance it cost me a little over 500 with the deductible and some co-pays at the doctor visits.
We are in the uk and our health system is different I believe than that in USA.
I have so far been unable to find any cover for a child playing tournaments so any one who knows where I can get this cover I would appreciate your advice.

I believe that Sportscover can insure you:

With Google I found some that looked interesting but that I've not heard of before:

Good luck

In the UK, they've got the NHS, a tax-funded health service. I'm pretty sure that no matter what citizenship you hold, any treatment is free, possibly excluding prescriptions.
