I seem to recall Chris answering me here about Tacchini shoes, indicating they would be available from TW this spring. Any word? CC

Craig,
I'll have to follow up with Tacchini as I think these were delayed till at least the Summer last time I checked.

Personally I'd avoid Tacchini shoes as they seem to be high on fashion but low on technology/features.

When you save up enough money on your newspaper run, go buy a pair and do a review for us! LOL:)

Right, I guess that's why Sampras switched to Nike since he had chronic shin splints while he was wearing Tacchini..
Oh and you remember Martina Hingis?
She also got foot problems from wearing Tacchini.

I can't wait for these to come in. I think TW should carry some Tacchini socks as well!

Yeah, and Pat Cash played his whole career in them and didn't have a problem. Anyway. Sampras went to nike for the money, and as for Hingis, you are talking about one pair of shoes. And it was like 10 years ago..

Again. Like you would know what their shoes now would be like.. :-?

Unfortunately, the days of the Italian brand logo sock seem to be dwindling. How about some Lotto socks? - Ferrero and Co. seem to have plenty on hand.

I was in Italy last month, and hit up a small tennis shop. They had a drawer in the back literally filled with deadstock Tacchini and Italian-made Nike logo socks from the early 1990s. They also had 2 pairs of Lotto socks which I picked up. The Tacchini and Nike socks were date-able because they featured the prevailing shirt logo AND DECORATIVE PATTERN of the time woven into the sock. Nowadays, you're lucky just to get the brand logo. Lots of fuchsia, orange, and black on those Tacchini deadstock jobs, too - very sweet.

Im pretty sure that one pair. That about the norm for a nice pair of socks nowadays.
