I'm sure this has been discussed several times before, but I haven't seen it since I joined, so.......

For me, it was Malavai Washington in a junior event in Pensacola, FL. That year, just before Agassi turned pro, a group from Bolleteri came up and in my draw was Washington, Courier, Wheaton, and Agassi. Agassi lost in the finals to a guy from Mobile, AL. I was able to track down the draw sheet several years later after I taught for a little while at the club where that event took place.

When I was a junior at Indigo Country Club in Daytona, my friend and I got to hit briefly with Manuela Maleeva, who was the touring pro for the club at the time (around 1989). I didn't play her, but that's the best I've got. We were always hanging out at the club, and we just got lucky to catch her before her coach arrived.

I played with my best friend in high school against the Jensen bros, just 4 games for fun. They let me and my partner win our serves.

Before Butorac became a pro, he looked up my friend's number to ask him to hit even though he lived 45 minutes away. My friend turned him down because he was going to piano camp for the summer!

Yeah, I actually had one 6-4 set against him (I lost the set). I was 18 and he was 15, but you could see the talent. He came in behind EVERYTHING, with that big lefty hook serve.

What a nightmare. I hardly ever see lefties playing anyway around the clubs and then to have one with those skills come against you....

A really nice coach who gave me a couple of free backhand lessons had played with Borg in the first round of Wimbledon or Junior Wimbledon. Also, Marat had come to my club and hit with the players there when I was out of country for a couple of months. I found out a couple of weeks after I left.

I haven't really played with anybody famous.

James Blake was my partner at 2001 Indian wells.. We lost 7-6 to Paes and my friend.. Yup.. It hurts when James Blake blew the first 3 points of the tie breakers.. That was a beautiful Tiffany trophy.. Everytime I come to my friend house and see the tropy I can't forget that moment.. James came along way since then.. He was not that good at that time..

Yeah.. I hit with Guga, Verker, Clisjter but well they are all retired..

Hey cool...someone remembers him!!! By the way anyone can hit with him for $170 bucks. He is a tennis pro at a club in NYC called the manhattan plaza raquet club. Its kind of cool playing against a world class serve and volleyer who During his competitive career, defeated Connors (three times), McEnroe (twice), Wilander, Becker (twice), Agassi, Sampras and other tennis greats .....go book a lesson (theres a photo of him now on the website as well) :

nope - left Forest Hills and Howard Beach (went to HS at Beach Channel - it was a brand new school in the mid 70's and you had to apply to go there back then) in 1979 to play collage tennis in Texas - other than a 5 yr stint in France and 3 more in Chicago I have stayed in Houston ever since when i married a "native" Texan.

Oh, played with someone who beat the #6 in the world at the time he also had close matches with Connors and Stan Smith (after he won Wimbledon). Older than me, but still has the strokes...

Played some Stanford/Cal players who played pro.

Played a guy who was #1 in college & was on the satellite tour.

My friend beat Anna Kournikova when Kournikova was only 12. LOL. I beat my friend 6-0 in the first set and she didn't feel like playing anymore.

I knew someone who beat Agassi and Chang in the juniors, but never played higher than #5 in college.

I play against myself on a backboard...

Sorry, guess I don't feel like naming names. I apologize...

I played Roger Federer 9 months ago for 1 game I served. I won one of the points b/c I hit a drop shot the ticked the net and dribbled over but he returned it with another dropper crosscourt but I anticipated it and was already running up and punched it down the line. He ran it down and attempted a tweener but it went into the net. Other points he blasted me either off the service return or after my first groundy.

I played all the top women cause I trained the number five in the world. Her I would regularly beat 1 and 0. And in terms of men, played many top 100 players. Won some, lost more.

Lost 7-6 in third and had a match point and called the ball good even though he and his crew admitted it was out, to the number 14 in the world last year, over 45.
