Hi guys,

Found this item on *bay. Item number: 200229683026. I seen a similar item in a Tennis shop (not for sale) display window a few years back . The info I got on the racquet at the time was Becker donated a dozen of his new racquets for auction to raise money for a charity. There are no brand markings on the racquet but have leadings at the 3, 5, 7, 9 o’clock position – see 2nd picture. It is known that Boris bought a mold for his racquet from Puma when they sold the business. If these are really Boris personal racquets, we think he got Head to make those racquets for him. The reason for this think is the barcode label on the handle looks exactly the same as those on Head racquets at the time. Plus there were those salt like powder crystals that comes out from the string holes like those found from the Head Prestige 600, 630, 660 etc racquets sold at these times. Head users might have noticed this. This might be a unique ingredient or process used by Head manufacturing which I haven’t find in other brand of racquets. So there you go. Players might not only use paint jobs but even racquets made by other manufacturers (maybe for their unique feel) to look like the brand they are endorsing.

These were the actual customized rackets Boris played with in 1995, Estusa no longer sponsered so he played without stencil or letters but still the same racket, they went for a lot of money and with certificate.

Yes, Boris Becker did Contract HEAD to manufacture the 1995 world champion racquets in Kennelbach, Austria.
