View Full Version : Well this is the most disappointing night ever!!! >:o

I skipped my afternoon class to drive down from school in Tallahassee to head back home to catch the Thursday night session to see Tommy Haas play, since he's my favorite player and i've never seen him play before.
The weather put quite a damper on things. Rain delays. I call the Nasdaq office at 8:30pm and they said the night session was canceled, and they were offering people who already bought tickets to exchange them for another night session in the week. No big deal, i figured i could go tomorrow to see him play.
WELL.....I check the score update on their site, and Tommy IS PLAYING RIGHT NOW, and getting killed. So, i missed class, drove 450 miles, and because of what the ticket office told me, i missed out on something i've wanted for so long, and after Haas being injured ALL of 2003, i now miss probably my one and only chance to see him play. I'm so pissed/upset right now. I have to wait til 2005 now most likely. :( :x

Look on the bright side...
You missed watching a crappy match.
Whatever you were doing at the time the match was being played was likely more worthwhile than sitting there watching your favorite player play like a jerk in a boring match.

well deuce, your comment is QUITE the understatement, if you catch my drift.
In any case, it turns out that there is a god in this world. The match was suspended at Canas up 4-3 and Canas ito serve, in the second set. They finished the match today, and i was able to watch it. The best part though was that i saw Haas on the practice court, and was literally 3-4 feet away from him watching him hit with Fernando Gonzalez. Talk about a sureal moment, being that close up to a pro athlete you watch on tv. It was also an incredible experience, being that close up, cuz you got to see the real "game speed" on the court that the pros play. Sitting in the stands is better than tv, but standing right next to them...you just can't beat that.

I'm happy for you, now if I could just see Rios play live...
Before the Internet, people didn't whine about such things in public. What a sap...

well, it's something i've wanted to do/see for a very long time, i sacrificed missing 2 class, drove 450 miles (with the great gas prices that we have going) and spent a lot of money in the process.....

Never mind, Matt - before the internet, I doubt Phil even existed.

I assume the OP means he has never seen Haas play in person.

Above is further evidence that Phil did not exist prior to the internet.
He goes around from thread to thread and does little other than piss on people. I suppose this is his way of 'leaving his mark', so to speak.
No - I'm sure that before the internet, there were no internet trolls...
Before the Internet, there was no medium other than a barstool for a lonely crank like you, Deuce, to spew your whining about the injustice and unfairness of the world, and how much of an intellectual stud you are. Magazines and newspapers don't publish cranks outside of the letters column, but the poor Internet is defenseless against your pompous rambling. Revenge of the nerd/geek/trekkie/dunces-yes, the meek SHALL inherit the earth.
As the troll said to the weary traveler requesting permission to cross his bridge: "Yeah, I'm a troll...what the f**k you gonna do about it, little man? Now give me your money."

You know, Philip, There was a time when, despite your obnoxious need for attention, there was actually a degree of intelligence in some of your posts. I was hoping that, as you mature, you'd learn to use your intelligence in much better ways. But quite the opposite has happened. Recently, your posts haven't possessed any intelligence whatsoever. There hasn't been even a hint of any prior intelligence. Just trolling around the boards, whining non-stop, and ******* on everyone in sight. The change has been quite noticeable, and it betrays you as an individual who is in even more desperate need of attention than previously.
Well, D., I could have predicted that one-immature, unintelligent, whinning-all the characteristics that you ascribe to most of the other people on this Board-a classic case of projection. Yes, Deuce, you're a titan of intellect looking down with pity on our sorry souls, a purveyor of horse poo poo, a dispenser of racquet minutiae, a spell checker of inordinate talent, a prognosticator of nothing...in short, a shrill and sad voice trying to puff itself up with the faux condescending voice of the spinster school marm chastizing us yung 'uns. Keep on projecting, mealy mouth boy.

Is there some joy obtained by insulting other people that I am missing out on? I have never gotten any pleasure out of that. Nor from observing it, for that matter.
Just checking. :?

Depends on whether the person really deserves it....

If they "deserve it", then they have enough problems without me piling on. IMHO, of course, but I think they "deserve" to be left alone. Especially if they are acting out to get attention.[/i]

Man, Phil must be one miserable guy. All he does is bash people and promote discord among the board. When is the last time you've ever said anything nice about anybody or anything, Dude? Oh, oh, now Phil is going to bash me...
Where did you COME FROM, Dude, and what is your purpose for reviving this thread from the dead? Really, do you WANT to be bashed? That seems to be your intent. You obviously don't visit these boards often, or you wouldn't have asked the question you did.
Don't you have homework to do, or Playstation to play on? Please don't bother me again, junior.

Wow, chill out, Dude...let's not get carried away, we are a community here.
So now it's "Chill out, Dude..." after your little critique? Quite the passive-aggressive little mite, aren't you? Again, don't bother me. I don't know why you did so in the first place, especially if you can't stand up to the kind of response that you, obviously, expected (wanted?).

Dude, you need to get high, get laid, or just chill out. Why the agressive threat? What are you going to do now, Dude, hit me?
First of all, you need to learn how to read. Secondly, no, DUDE, I'm not going to hit you because, well, I don't know where to find you, and I don't think it's fair to pick on 12-year olds anyway. You never answered my question: What is your purpose/point for reviving this thread and starting a flame war? What is YOUR problem? Either say something substantial or go away. Better yet, just go away.

Matt goes through hell and Deuce is right, you just piss on him. You can dish it out but you can't take anything. My question is, why are you so miserable? Misery likes company? Do you always have to have the last (agressive) word? I'm here to stay.
You didn't answer my question.
