This is what the grommets look like on my Pro Kennex:
Did the stringer do a crappy job?
Is it ok to play with the racquet like this?
Do I need new grommets?

When your strings break - which will be soon - put some tubing in the middle grommet in the bottom photo, and in any other grommets that look similar to that one.

yea wat he said ^^^. Generally any good stringing place should have tubed that for you upon stringing. You could also get new grommets, either way will help extend the life of your string.

mine are like that too, its the dammm grommets on its last leg, their so dry that they break like the pictures
while their are still grommets available for your racquet, get a set, once the rcaquet becomes discontinued its gonna be hard to find a grommet set, if the set is less than $5 get 2

I've used the 5g for many years now, and that particular grommet is usually the one that splits first. The stringer should have known not to put a string in when the grommet is split like that. Needs tubed, new grommet strip, or a single grommet put in. The next hole could benefit from that too.
