Wat's up TW ppl. I'm considering gettin a couple Kblade98s, and was just wondering what to expect from wilson quality control. I've been hearing a lot of bad things, and it's making me a bit hesitant. Well I guess it doesn't matter all to much, as i can try matching the balance and weight of the sticks (thanks ppl for all the great information found in these forums).

Jus wanted to hear some more opinions on the quality of Wilson racquets ppl have bought in the past.

Get TW to match them for you. Wilson QC is the worst...its just plain awful.

I had 6 K90s when they came out...they ranged from 350g to 375g strung...thats just not right!

Quality control is not remotely perfect with any major manufacturer but I have not found Wilson's to be particularly bad.

At the same time, you can never go wrong by having your racquets matched.

That's a 11.5 oz racquet versus a 12.3 oz racquet... egadz. And to think I was upset to find a 14 gram difference between my used AK90 and one from the shop (312 vs 326g unstrung).

In the end it's your $$. You're gonna have to decide if it's worth it to spend $400+ of your hard earned cash on two sticks, then be forced to spend even more $$ just to make them play even remotely like the same model racquet. BTW, companies like Yonex and Fischer have NO problems with maintaining close tolerances.

^ listen to this man :D.
Nick...why did you get option "13" from Vantage??
Considering your "background" (history) I would have guessed that option 08 or 09 would have been right up your alley ?? (320 grams and 310 or 315 balance).

Lol.

The 330g unstrung swings lighter than my fischers with lead at 12 / leather grips...much lighter.

I have lead at 12 on the vantages also and am finding I can swing them much faster for some reason!

Lead @ 12 ?? I thought you were tempted to ditch the Fischers for a while due to "not being able to swing fast" (or at least being able to swing faster ...with other rackets).
Now you say you had lead @ 12 on them ??? Well ... "hint hint" ...remove the lead and you'll be able to swing faster :p :D
