View Full Version : Best value midplus racquet to buy from TW?

Hi all,

I'm buying a racquet for my mate's birthday. He usually uses 95-98 inch head, standard 27 inch length, around mid 11oz in weight and 325-330 swingweight.

What is the best value racquet to buy according to these specs?

Browsing TW, Prince TT Warrior midplus looks appealing at $69. A little bit light weight but I guess one could always add lead.

What else is would you recommend? My budget is under $100 not including shipping.

I just picked a couple of these up. They have received pretty positive feedback, once you add an overgrip and a damp it will be mid 11 oz range.

LM Radical MP is a solid choice.

I didn't like the feel of the TT Warrior as much as I liked the predecessor - the Precision Response.

it's in a higher weight class, but the Donnay Pro 1 International for 100 bucks is a very good buy. So is the NXG Tour MP.

In the slightly lower weight class, the TT Warrior and LM Radical as well as the Dunlop Maxply McEnroe are good buys.

I would also vote for the LM Radical MP since I do believe that is the best for that kind of money you could get!
But, player has to be matched with the racquet as well. I hope that relatively low power from that stick doesn't discourage.

In no particular order,

LM Radical
LM Instinct
Prince Warrior
Dunlop M-fil 300

Donnay Pro 1 Int'l MP is probably the racquet with the best price/value proportion for player's racquets

If your friend plays with something lighter there are a few Prince racquets in the liquidation section: if I am not mistaken the Shark, Warrior or (though rather tending towards more heft) the NXG racquets.

There are some nice Head Racquets too: the LM Radical.

Give us more info on the level of your friend and his preferences on weight, SW, string pattern...

Thanks for all the responses.

Head LM radical seems to be a better choice than TT warrior.

You really should be buying a racquet that suits you well.

The mfil 200 and the Radical are very good choices...
