View Full Version : Does water damage your racquet from the inside?

I was playing this morning casually, until it started lightly raining. I did stop at all though, until the rain became heavy, which i played in for about 5 minutes.

In the heavy rain i played in, im sure water seeped through the grommets and into the inside of the frame. I was drying it at home, and there was quite a lot of water resting on the outside.
Is this potentially dangerous to the inside of the racquet because it does not have the same glossy paint as the outside? What should i be looking out for?

Some people on this forum have experimented with dipping their racquets in boiling water to soften up the strings which are too stiff. Their racquets are fine. A little rain surely cant hurt that badly.
