I thought this might be a fun idea - and who knows, maybe you'll run into an old teammate or someone that you played against.

I'll start:

I played at Division II West Chester University from '95 - '97. We played in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. I wasn't very good and I ended up with a record slightly above .500 playing #4 singles my junior and senior years.

Anyone else?

I was on the Furman club team from '06-'08, ranked squarely in the lower third. Hah, oh well...

Next year, I'll be at the University of Louisville working on my Masters.

I played at Erskine College (D2 school) from 2002-2003. Compling a record of 0-1 in singles and 0-1 doubles. I played #6 singles and #3 doubles my sophomore year, but ruptured a disc in my back after the first match of the year.

I played at Division II West Chester University from '95 - '97.

Hey martymule,
I played for Eastern U. at that time. We played exhibitions against you guys those years. We were not in the same conference but were close by. I played #3 singles and #1 dubs in '95 and '96. In '97 I played #1 singles and #1 dubs.

I don't really remember a lot of your team mates. I know that I really enjoyed my match against Troy in '97. That was one of my favorites of my college career. He played number one dubs all three years and those were fun matches as well.

Troy ended up being my team captain on a USTA team in 2004. It's a small world.

Philsthrills - I remember playing at Eastern in '97, what a beautiful campus. Troy was really fun to watch - he always had such a huge forehand and serve. Thanks for bringing that up, brings back some memories.

This should get interesting. Hopefully Feddie will be exposed as just another pathological liar, and we'll move on to laying into the lad for something other than that.

Georgia Perimeter College.. Billy Pate, now at Alabama, was our coach... won national title 9 years in 1990's, I think. I was lucky enough to play with some world class players. Although NJCAA, we played some NCAA D1 teams and local D3's.

Well that's interesting- two posts from former Wallace State players. Do they still have a tennis program? I played for what was then OWJC from 88-90. They disbanded the tennis program there a couple of years later after bringing back basektball and baseball. I also heard it had something to do with many of the other schools we played like Wallace State, Jeff Davis and others in the area having disbanded their programs as well.

I left Wallace in 98 i believe they cancelled there program a year or two after that. It was a shame cause it was a very good conference minus a couple of teams. I beleive they just play baseball and softball now.

Topsltennis: I also believe i applied for a teaching job with you about a year or so ago? Name is Mitch Rogers from Tallahassee?

srvnvoley- I was the Manager of the Club from 05-07 and did very little teaching (it was not part of my job description, but due to my background they would use me from time to time) so- if you applied it would likely have gone to Joe D'aleo who is now the Director of Tennis.

jimwh- plenty of clinics at Sandestin-

Someone asked what allrightguy meant by "tennis is classless".

He probably means that there is only one State championships for tennis in Indiana, with all tennis-playing schools playing for a singular state championship, i.e., there is no separate championships for smaller schools.

When I was in high school in Minnesota in the 80s and early 90s, there were two classes for tennis - Class "AA" (bigger schools) and class "A" (smaller schools." At that time, my high school was an AA school and during the season we actually beat the team that went on to win the Class A championships.

This is no different than nearly every state in sports like basketball (where there is often more than two classes) or football (where, as in Illinois, where I live now, there can be 7 or more classes). Many sports in many states have championships in different classes.
