What is your biggest comeback? I once came back from 1-6 2-5 a match point and then in the I was down two more match points at 4-5, then came back to win the set 7-5 and the third set tiebreaker 10-8 against a quality player. I was very happy with this win and humongous comeback, what is your biggest comeback?

I was down 3-6 2-5 and I won the second set in a tiebreaker 8-6 or 9-7 after being down like 2 match points in the breaker. Then I won the third 6-1 or something like that.

Doubles match (not kidding): 1-6, 0-5 and 3x mp on the opponent's serve >>> winning 1-6, 7-6, 6-4
Singles match (practise match) 0-6, 0-4 >>> 0-6, 6-4, 6-0 :D

Once in juniors I was down 0-6, 0-5 before coming back to win 0-6, 7-6, 6-2. I was just totally outplayed to begin with but I was angry at some people in the crowd cheering when I made mistakes and I just used that anger to turn the match around.

Last year in a big sort of non official tournament that all the good juniors around my town play in, I had to play some 14 year old (I was 11), I was down 0-6, 4-2 with me serving and him with a break point. I got to 4-4 and then I won the set 7-5. Other kids get angry so quick, it's funny. :) Won the next set 6-3, really no trouble.

Played mixed doubles with my wife (1st time ever) this past weekend and was down against another couple 2-4. Finally turned it on in the seventh game, served up some clutch aces, 3 to be exact. my wife drilled a forehand winner into the chest of the guy in two separate games when she was at the net. Long story short, we came back to win the last 4 games. We only had time to play one set though. I was really proud of my wife. She didn't take up serious tennis but 1 1/2 years ago. We at least have a 1-0 winning streak in mixed doubles.

few years ago i played this one kid and i won the first set but was down 0-5 in the second and came back to win 7-5
hm... once... 1st round of a tournament (i eventually played semis there although i played with temperature 38 ) and i won the 1st set 61 and in the 2nd set i was 0-5 and 30-40 down... i won 61 75
one year later i played for the 3rd place on club competition and was 36 04 down, later my opponent had match point with serve. eventually i won 36 75 63
2 maybe most interesting matches i remember

the one i remember most is playing USTA #1 singles for the playoffs. I was down 9-3 in a 10pt third set tiebreaker. The guy had 6 match points and somehow I won it 12-10 to win the match. i honestly don't remember how it even happened.

i had this match last year that i just finish eating.. and got real sick.. so lost the first set 6-2 but then the second set i felt better but still didnt come back until after when i was down 5-0 40-30 him serving.... then we struggled until the forth deuce that i came back. Having the confidence of the game, I jumped back and won the set 7-5 and then won the third set 7-6 whew...

In the first round of my very first tournament when I was 13, we had to play pro sets. I was down 1-5 and I threw my racquet and--guess what-- cracked it. I was a mental juggernaut back then.
When I switched racquets I told myself "this is a new beginning, you're starting over". It worked: I came back to win 8-5.:)

I came back from 0-6 to win 0-6, 6-4, 6-4.
Another match, which I didnt win, I still made some great comebacks. In the 1st set, I was down 2-4 and 3-5 to win the set in an easy tiebreak 7-6. In the 2nd set, it was nearly the same as I was down 2-4 and 3-5, I had one match point in the tiebreak, but lost it in either 7-9 or 8-10. In the 3rd set I was down 2-5, came back to make it 5-5, but then I was dead exhausted and lost the final set 7-5. It was the longest and most grueling match Ive ever played and I hope it stays that way.

In a subsectional match (hs tennis) my partner and I lost the first set 4-6. In the second set we were down 6-7 in the tiebreaker. We won it 9-7 and then took the third set 6-4. BIGGEST comeback of my life... the only time I've overcome a match point and win.

I lost the first set 4-6 then I was down 0-5 in the 2nd. I told myself dont give up and came back 5-5 then 5-6 then 6-6 tiebreak and won the tiebreak 7-6(12-10) and won the 3nd set 6-3. The guy I played wasn't easy also, I just kept my shots in deep with spin and didn't think about losing.

The biggest comeback I've made would have to be when I split sets with this one guy and he was up 5-2 40-30 in the third and I hit a net cord and made it deuch and just went on a forehand and backhand rampage.
I swear I was in the zone. :D

I Had A Very Slow Start

4-6 0-3...ended up winning 4-6 6-3 11-9 (in a 10 pointer)
Ok, my biggest comeback was completely due to the other kid choking and me not expecting a comeback whatsoever, so I just played hard. I was playing a one-set, 8-game match against this kid, and he was serving for the match at 7-4. I saved 9 match points in that game (see what I mean about him choking?), and ended up winning four straight games to win 9-7.

Played in a junior league on some really weird carpet like courts that were really fast. My serve is the biggest part of my game so i held that and broke his once winning the first set 6-4. Then in the second i was 4-2 up then a thunderstorm started and it rained for like 20 minutes straight. Went back on and lost that set 6-4. In the match tiebreak i was 7-3 down and won 10-3. The other guy cried afterwards. Another match (with stupid short sets upto 4) i lost the first 5-3, won the second 4-1 then was 5-1 down in the match tiebreak and won it 10-8 :D Really i shouldnt have been behind to any of the players but im really inconsistent which sucks.

6-0 4-1 down, won the second set 7-5 then won the match breaker 27-25 (no joke) we both had like 10 match points each. I've also done 5-1 down a couple of times. I'm a good fighter.

Way back in the finals of a local 12s tournament, I was struggling with heat exhaustion and found myself down 4-6 1-4 and 0-40 on my serve. At that point, I began throwing up (a la Pete Sampras) and took a 5 minute medical time-out. Apparently, that incident freaked out my opponent, and somehow I staggered to a 4-6 6-4 6-3 victory. I don't even know how I won that 3rd set, I could barely stand up, let alone run. Best comeback ever for me, and in dramatic fashion. :)

lol, down 0-4 in the first set after four double faults in my first service game (no serves in that game at all) then three double faults in my second service game. Then I cleaned house, 7-5, 6-3.

HS Varsity match 45 degrees with 20 MPH wind gusts. Down 0-6 first set in 22 mins just out of sheer frustration. Keep falling 2nd set down to 1-5 and broke serve to go 2-5. Next game, I threw all caution to the wind and opened up my first serves finishing the game with 3 straight aces ( one was a service ace, but oh well) opponent got angry and lost his momentum and gave me the set 7-5 with 2 more serve breaks and then i just kept smashing my serves for the third set just hoping, and ending up winning it 6-2. After the last point I couldn't even believe what had just happened. I suppose sometimes you just have to stop over-focusing and just play like there's nothing to lose.

This is a double-edged sword your so-called "comebacks" are the other guy's biggest chokes. So do get all high on yourselves because eventually you will be the other guy, much like I have been for a while.

Not really a huge comback but.. whatever. I was down 4-6, 4-5, 15-40 and I'm thinking "oh well its been a good match" so im just kind of hitting the ball back with decent pace and depth to his backhand and I win those two points, the duece and I win the match 4-6, 7-6, 7-6.

6-1 3-6 2-5 down and just started playing point by point, won 7-5 last set.
Another interesting thing was when I was up against a player I had never beaten in my life, he was from the same club and we often trained together. We were playing a first round match, which should not happen because we were from the same club. Anyway, I won that match. He must have been feeling very bad that day, having never lost against me. From there on I never lost against him anymore.

A best of 1 set doubles match. Didnt really count but... down 0-5 30-40 their serve and we came back won 7-5.
Then they complained that doubles was first to five and i was like B.S.
Kids that play at clubs are tools anyway.
