To qualify for a national tournament, do you need to be ranked top 5 or something in your section or do you just need to be ranked high enough nationally to qualify, for example, the national clay court championships?

Each section is allowed to endorse a certain number of players for the National Tournaments.

its different for every section. like Texas usually endorses the top 5 for the supernats but sections like the southern section allow 32.

But it also varies between tournaments. For kalamazoo texas endorsed the top 9.
