Kobe didn't exactly perform at Michael Jordan levels in the finals. In fact, he came up small and was actually outplayed by Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Garnett. He's also about to be 30 and yet he's talking smugly about leaving the Lakers. Yes, he's a great player, but he's no Jordan. In the BIGGEST series of his career, when he could have validated himself as one of the all time greats (maybe top 5 of all time), he came up weak. He shot poorly, was not able to make his teammates better and wasn't able to lead his team on the court. In fact, the Lakers sucked defensively in the finals.
In my opinion, Kobe is acting arrogantly. He already has arthritic knees and will not dominate into his early and mid 30's the way Jordan did. It is obnoxious and arrogant for him to talk this way at this time. It is also very selfish.
