08-10-2008, 09:59 PM
Im watching the tennis on the net. and as federer came out i looked at his bag it was a wilson kpro red bag . but no wilson logo's on it. and same with serena as she was leaving. Has anyone else notice this? or is it just me?

Yes, I saw the same thing. The sponsorship for the Games probably caused the logo less bags. Roger's Nike white bag was plain on the side.

I just noticed that Tursunov and Federer has the same bag that the OP talked about, but there is a big "W" instead of the Wilson logo.

Fed's match just ended. Both he and Tursnov had a Single W on the bag.

I think they're not too keen on big logos. Have a look at Nadal's bandana (Nike swoosh on the side instead of the front - can't be coincidence I think)

this is wt i read from a website on football (soccer to most of you i suppose) kits:

Total of six teams play in Adidas kits and they all had to remove three white stripes which ran down the sleeves and shorts after Nike, Reebok and Puma demanded that from Adidas. According to the rules of the International Olympic Committee corporate logos are limited to a maximum of 20 square centimeters. Although Adidas claims that the three stripes are only a design element, they had to make changes.

Murray also had the "HEAD" label on his bag blacked out.

thats a dumb rule

that makes no sence,
swish on the wristband but not on the bandana?

08-11-2008, 02:06 PM
by the way, i noticed the same trend for nadal
why is this

seems weird that despite federer's new signature bag being all swizerland-ed out that he would use a plain red bag...
you would think wilson would just white out the wilson logo on fed's signature bag instead of having him use the red one seeing as it is his special signature edition

that makes no sence,
swish on the wristband but not on the bandana?

maybe the swish on the bandana is larger than 6 sq. cms...

that rule is kinda dumb.
it's just a racket logo. what harm can they do?
i mean anyone who goes to the event already knows what the pros are using.

and does that apply to everyone?

the bryan brothers prince bags are the same way

The adidas shirts being worn by the football teams look silly without the stripes, they're integral to how they look ffs.
