Can you stock leather power pads? Safin and Federer are using them. A lot of people would went them.

I would like them, TW Staff. Please think of stocking leather power pads.

Why not make your own?

agreed, just cut up an old leather belt, or if you dont want to let teh armani cowhide go, then just use an old baseball glove's laces. they really dont do much unless you use gut. and even then they dont do much anyway.

Good idea, I'll make my own.

I actually find that they mostly soften the string bed.

Just go get a pack of baseball glove laces at yr local Sportmart or Copelands.
Their only a few dollars. The 'powerpads' on my rackets from string jobs by a proshop look from the thickness, to be cut from belt strap material.

We would be happy to stock leather power pads, but we're unaware of availability in the US. It's quite simple to make your own, using old leather grips. Don/Tennis Warehouse

Do power pads absorb more than a pete sampras O.

I went to a shoe repair store and bought a piece of thick leather. He cut it up into slices for me too. I cut it into pieces with an exacto knife. They work great. Total cost--about $10 for over 100 power pads.

I tried using power pads and it really seemed to deaden the feel...The racket just felt like it had less power and was not responsive like it was without them. This was with adding three of them in the throat area. I took them out. Notice that not every pro plays with them. What is good for some, may not be good for all...

what are power pads?

Fednadal, b/f somebody rudely asked you to do a search on them let me be first:
DO A SEARCH ON THEM!! THERE IS SO MUCH INFORMATION ABOUT THEM ON THIS BOARD!!!
Just having fun with ya' mate :) try a search for "power pads"
They do not do much for racquets these days so don't be hoping for a miracle for your racquet. Mostly they are there to help with narrow grommets (racquet holes) where damage is done by the strings. If you get big enough power pads you might be able to give your strings a slight boost in power because they will lengthen the strings by a few millimeters. But it's all theoretical ;)
Anyways do a search on them, read up and make your own opinion on them.

I love power pads. I make my own from a leather belt. But in fact, they still have an effect even if you don't use gut. Hell, I love them so much, I have 6 per racquet!

I actually got some power pads from Forten. http://www.forten.com/ They sell their products to anyone. They are called string pads on their site. One thing i dont like about them is that its kinda thin. So i use about 2-3 of them on a racket but recently i started using my old fairway leather grip. I hope this is a help to some of you looking into this as well as the TW staff and maybe they can stock up on it.

you can always goto a leather store or a hobby store and buy some pieces of leather for a few bucks then cut it up.

Those Forten pads do look thin, and hard to handle due to them being round. I hope for their sake that TW doesn't start to sell these.

try these..... just cut them up.
