hit a big forehand deep on the backhand side of the opponent and then you run up to the net, prepare for ur smash. thats my strategy.

What I do that messes people up a lot is mix your shots up like crazy. Hit some shallow, hit some high and deep, throw in a moonball every now and then. Switching from topspin to slice and vice versa is really annoying to some people too

it never works against pro clay players.

yeah, thats a good one too
i am doing more of this now
while not a strategy for me, per say, i do rush the net when i smell blood in the water (easy sitter), usually happens right after a big forehand, either to their extreme sides or to their body, jamming the return
the other strategy i like and often use as well when ever possible is the topspin and then the slice, and then a topspin if it comes back,, usually it does not,, you'll find people get pissed big time when they fall for it

hit an outwide shot to their forehand. then hit your next shot down the line to their backhand and follow it in. this helps against someone who has a bid forehand because they don't have time to run around the ball.

another strategy that works for me is a serve to the body, either flat or slice serve, this usually gets a easy pop up that can be put away at the net if i get ther earlie enough

here are 2 that my student have done:( Hit short and run to net to volley ... and the worse of all ... this is a quote from a student of mine who is a straight A student " pretend you suck, so your opponent will get over confidence " -- this is what I call being too creative...
