I was hiking the other day (me and my friends got really outdoorsy) and then at night we slept outside in a tent. In the Morning my knee hurt like a sun ofva b**** and the pain really hasnt gone away. It feels really stiff and idk what to do about it. I havnt been playing on it but i tryed my service motion today. When i do the knee bend it hurts to bend and then pop up. Any advice onto healing this fast i want to get back onto the courts asip (no advil or ibruprofin)

You might have sprained the knee while you were sleeping.

Why no ibuprofen? Do you have a sensitive stomach?

Try icing and if you dare, there is a new NSAIDS patch called Flector Patch. It will be better on your stomach.

Typical advice from a physical therapist would recommend, rest, ice (20 min intervals) and ibuprofen to reduce inflammation. You could just do the rest and ice and see if that helps, if it doesn't go away after 2 weeks, you should really have it checked out because it could be much more than a sprain/tweak/pull...hopefully it is just a minor tweak.

Anyway, that's the advice I get from my brother, a phd in physical therapy, when I run these scenarios by him. I've had two knee surgeries at 30. I learned to not ignore these things the hard way.
