Are there any LCD TV's that don't artifact on action shots?

I have been considering buying a big-screen LCD TV but all the ones I see in showrooms have artifacts during action scenes. Are there any models that eliminate artifacts or is that just something you have to learn to live with.

I understand that smaller screens are going to look clearer than bigger ones, but I don't like the idea of having something so noticeable added to the picture. I end up staring angrily at the artifacts instead of whats going on on-screen.

Any suggestions from the electronics geeks among you? Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to provide.

what is a Artifacts ??? does it do same thing in computer LCD's??

Were you watching HD channels?

I have a sharp aquos 32", HD looks pretty good on it, even in action sport

LCD TVs usually have sharpness and/or contrast set too high, which causes sharpening artifacts. Plus, motion blur can be a factor if the pixel response time of the panel is too high.
