It's a New York Post-style nickname for the young governess of Alaska McCain picked today.

She probably looked good 20 years ago, but at 44, she's not hot.

are you suggesting there's not a suitable polling option to reflect that view?

In recent photos she reminds me of Tina Fey.....

Is she a tennis player? Do they play much tennis in Alaska?

Does the male population even need to vote after seeing that photo?

Seriously, maybe my standards are too low but even with geek glasses the answer is a no brainer.

Looks like she came straight out of a Skinemax film. She's either blackmailing McCain because of something naughty he did, or this is just one crazy dream, or the Republican Party is truly, truly dumb. The third option is probably the closest to the truth. A horrible strategic move that will cost McCain the election, guaranteed.

President Obama it is.

I really hope this is a joke post... because if not it is horribly offensive and ignorant.

Just because she is an attractive woman you think it is a terrible decision? Did she blackmail the whole state of Alaska as well when she was voted in as governor?

Strategically this makes PERFECT sense for McCain and his campaign.

1. She is pro-life and falls in line with other social issues important to the republican base.
2. She has held an executive position... therefore she already has more relevant experience than obama
3. In spite of her very conservative views-- she still can appeal to those voters who supported Hillary and are weary to jump on the Obama hope-train (McCain's campaign is already trying to woo former hillary voters with the anouncement of the new VP.)

Comments like yours are completely baseless.. and downright offensive.

Are you sure? Looks like a thinner version of the super nanny.
No, not really sure. I just randomly gave her a last name and career since she's so sexies.

Is she a tennis player?

No, she played basketball and hunts moose (you can't make this stuff up). Her highschool girls basketball team was Alaska state champions in 1982.

I don't know if you guys realize this but Palin was the 1984 Miss Alaska runner-up. So obviously she was hot 25 years ago...and still very attractive today for a 44 year old woman. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miss_Alaska

Her biography doesn't stand out all that much. I can't believe she's a presidential candidate...

Uh that is because she isn't a presidential candidate. Vice presidents don't really do that much. They cast a vote in case of a Senate tie (which rarely happens). They have informal advisor roles. Historically they use to be political nobodys, but now they are chosen to help balance a presidential ticket which is exactly why she was chosen.

Well in that unlikely event, then obviously she would take over. McCain is taking a caculated risk to win the election. Not unexpected given his "Maverick" label.

Then we'd be looking forward to the 2012 presidential election between Palin and clinton...

Just because McCain is 72 doesn't mean he is going to buy the farm any time soon. Don't forget his mom is 90 something and out there campaining for him.

As far as Gov. Palin becoming president, if it were to happen, she is more qualified for the job right now than Obama is.
