Well, I suppose I was 13 when I started shaving, although I don't see why it's so important.

I was 15, but after 5 years i've given up.

I prefer the extra sleep, the improved skin quality, the challenge of growing it out and looking after it etc..

BTW from my experience, guys who started shaving when they were really young don't end up tall; usually 5'6, 5'7 or less.

I'd say probably mid teens but I don't remember the exact year. I keep my electric shaver in the car.

16. I had scruff all over my neck but not so much on my face, and one day my English teacher told me flat out to shave. I looked in the mirror that day and said holy crap, I've never noticed that before.

I ended up being kinda one of those freak of nature guys that started shaving at 13 and had just about a full beard by 15. By the time I was a senior in high school I occasionally would grow out the whole thing just to enjoy the looks I got from freshmen.

I was 16, but didn't actually buy a razor until I was 18. ;) Used my dad's.

how does that make any sense?

Guys that hit puberty sooner always seem to end of short to me. I think it makes sense. Actually all of the tall kids in the early grades are very short in their class now.

This is kind of linked to the quicker rate of maturation in kids nowadays than ever before.

I'd be willing to bet that the younger posters (like myself) are the ones with all the younger ages that they started shaving.

I hit puberty earlier than most, if not all, of my fellow male students but didn't start shaving until late. I was a man at 11 if you get my drift. I still can't grow a full beard, which is fine by me (less to have to shave). I was the tallest early and ended up 6'2" with size 14 feet, which isn't exactly small.

i don't shave a lot because the more you shave the thicker and blacker they get. i won't like that plus i have a nasty lines.

16 (still 16) but I still only shave maybe once every two weeks, and that's with an electric.

I have a friend who started shaving in the third grade when he was 8, and by the time he was 10 he was shaving daily. He was 5'4 in third grade and only grew three more inches in the next year or two and stopped growing completely after that. He sang bass in elementary school, lol.

Shaved every day at 16, on occasion a few years earlier.

Started at 18, but when I was like 14 I already had some mustache, and sometimes kids like 10 would mistaken me as an adult... after I started shaving I looked much younger than before... ...

Shaved my Safin like facial hair (the mussy and the stuff underneath my bottom lip) on my 15th birthday.

Started shaving my patchy sides and underneath my chin at 17.

Hmm... *feels facial hair* Soft...

I mean, it's nearly been a week, I better shave soon.

Well, I was a lot younger than Murray when I started shaving. Maybe he could actually start doing it. :)

I started shaving when I was 17. I'm 19 now, and I still only shave once a week, my beard doesn't grow that fast. But for some reason, my arms and legs were already quite hairy by age 14. Go figure.

By the way, I used to be really short throughout elementary and middle school, but during the past 2-3 years I shot up about 6 inches to 5'11 (still not much, but at least no one can call me shorty anymore).

I'm 14 and I want to shave but my mom says it's barely noticeable. But here's how my friend puts it and I quote:

If you were tan and had a sombrero on, you could be mistaken for a mexican senor.

I've only got this tiny lil' patch happening in the middle of my chest. It's kinda cool, I reckon.

You could always get your chest waxed. But not in the 'The 40 Year Old Virgin' way...
