The black one is not for sale.

Referring to the black polo with white stripes he wore while playing Santoro and Gulbis. It's called the 'Short Sleeve Tennis Super Dry Stripe Polo with Zip' and you can have it in White/Steward Blue or Steward Blue/White. He wore the former against Seppi.

Per Lacoste, it's not available in the Black/White that Roddick is wearing. Here's their message:

Thank you for e-mailing Lacoste.

Unfortunately, the black polo shirt and cap Andy Roddick wore in the US Open were specially made for him. Although we do not have the exact item available, we currently offer the same styles in a navy blue color. To view these items please click the links below.

Goodbye for now... Thank you for contacting Lacoste. Whether you're shopping online or visiting one of our boutiques, we look forward to seeing you soon.

Best regards,

Melanie

Lame! Why sponsor an elite athlete and not sell what they're wearing? I appreciate that top pros get custom garments that will never be for sale, but Roddick's black shirt is just a different color combination of a garment that's already available. Why not make it available to consumers? Lacoste is getting hours of advertising from Roddick and they're throwing it away.

Not the first time Lacoste has made this mistake. At the US Open last year, Santoro wore a very unusual, colorful striped shirt in his five set loss to James Blake. One of the matches of the tournament, for sure, and hours of advertising for Lacoste. "Sweet shirt! Where can I get that?" You can't. They don't make it any more: it was, like, a year old when Santoro wore it.

Oh well. Anyhow, if you like the white version of the shirt that he wore against Seppi it's available online from Nordstrom, macys, Bloomingdales and, of course, Lacoste.

I checked the site for a black version as well. It's kinda lame. But I like the white color better anyway. The blue? No interest.

total dump.. i am not sure who is making such decision.. also no clothes on tennis retail sites..as if they are made for people who make millions. i will never buy it because of such attitude from company who sale to some particular market segment...better with nike or rbk or simple clothes from target..

The black polo you are talking about is available in the UK - I saw it last week in the Knightsbridge Lacoste store opposite Harrods. They also have stock of the same shirt in navy with white stripes and also in white with navy stripes.

Lacoste is two damn expensive anyways. A simple outfit from them would cost more than most people car payment. The french tend to be very proud of their gear. However, with that being said, they make some good stuff.

I'd be grateful if you (or one of the other UK folks) could buy and ship me this shirt. I have PayPal and would gladly return the favor if, someday, there is a US-only piece of gear you're looking for. I recognize it's an unusual request and can be creative however you need to make it work out. Love that shirt! If you're interested, let me know here or send me an email. It's my handle at yahoo. I'm a 3XL / EUR9.

i wear la COST also, and while yes it's more expensive, the material is a bit finer, the seams are better sewn, and the items always seem to last longer than my nike/adidas stuff. it's ralph lauren quality. i wish they would supply roddick with some shirts that FIT!

just keep checking the website, it could turn up on there you never know. i randomly came across gasquet's maroon shirt which he wore during last fall on the website for $55, and its one of the best fitting lacoste sport shirts i have ever worn.

I just bought the white Lacoste super dry polo today because they didn't have the black one. Does anyone out there know where I could find it in black in size XS/EUR3 because these shirts run big...

Check Macys when the stuff goes on sale. In july I purchased two of the spring line shirts when they were on sale. They were 25% off the $95, then they had one of their sales where sale items were an additional 50% off. They ended up being a bit less then $36 each.
