Just curious...

Gail Brodsky, who won the girls Nationals in Berkeley California just recently has turned pro. Can she return next year to reclaim her crown, or is this prohibited, since she is now a pro? I believe she just turned 17 years old.

YES: when I was at Kalamazoo this past summer ,I asked them this question and they said YES... pros can play Kalamazoo... a lot of them do because the winner(singles to the singles draw and doubles team to the doubles draw) gets a free ride to USO main draw... in singles and doubles...

Ryan Harrison is a pro and he was the #1 seed at the Nats at the Zoo this year. He's also in the us open juniors. Laura Robson, who won the Wimbledon Junior Girls title, is also a pro.

There is a limited number of pro tournaments that junior-aged kids can play.

I think turning pro has more to do with losing NCAA status ie: college scholarships and ability to play college tennis, than playing junior events.
