would those work even though they arent #64? not sure how 7" length and 1/8" inch width would work

I didn't see any #64's. But yeah, they'd work -- you'd just have to wind the band around the strings a few more times.

hehe thats fishing equipment but you could still use it for dampening

yeah I actually called them and they told me that fishing rubberbands were actually different. I guess they are stiffer and wouldnt be good for racquets.

i have an idea. go to rite-aid. buy some black shoe die. drop some of the bands in the die. take them out and let them dry. i have a feeling that you will now have black #64's that have not changed their elasticity at all. this stuff is designed to work on leather, plastic and rubber so i am going to guess this is worth a serious try. and it's also cheap.

i was thinking just color some rubberbands with a perm black marker/sharpie haha
