I'm pretty sure fed uses a leather grip under his overgrip.

No he doesn't.
Davide Sanguinetti always did, either under tournagrip or just leather by its' self.

I just wanna say... that I finally switched to leather grip today (with turna overgrip)... and it gave me instant blisters.

Yeah it will do that to you ^^^ but you will build up some calluses in a couple of weeks and the feel of the leather will be out of this world.

^^^ not sure if it's because of the leather, but today during my hitting session I have much more solid grips; the racquet didn't run in my hand even on off-centred shots.
So hopefully calluses will build up coz I'm starting to like the feel... but of course blisters are painful.

Not to hijack the thread, but are there any pros who use no replacement grip at all, but instead use only a couple of overgrips applied directly to the handle? I've found that layering 2 or 3 overgrips -- with no replacement grip at all -- provides a feel that's even better than leather.
