go for it.

good combo of spin, power, feel, and durability.

i might consider string savers on a zig zag pattern in the sweetspot, but thtas just me

I find the most popular patterns to be a 3 x 3 zig-zag pattern, and Federer's pattern ( only two zig-zags with every-other main on the same cross)

I happen to think that poly mains and gut crosses would be the ultimate hybrid: ultimate feel plus ultimate durability, plus great touch, spin, control, and power.

My only worry is the poly sawing through the gut. But then again, gut is supposed to be more durable than multi. And gut does not go dead, it just breaks eventually.

My ultimate hybrid would be Big Ace Micro 1.15 mains and Klip Legend 18g crosses.

Yeah, a poly in the mains gut in the crosses hybrid is very popular.
