View Full Version : Hybrid string setup

Just had the following hybrid put in my Yonex RQ7; Mains: Kirschbaum Pro Line II 17L 1.20 Crosses: Technifibre Bi-Phase XOne 17 1.24.
I played with it last night and liked it, but I did get some vibration to my elbow. Is this setup supposed to be arm friendly? If not, what could I use that would give me the same type of feel, control, spin (could always use more of this), etc, that is arm friendly?

The tensions are 63 for the Pro Line II and 59.5 for the Bi-Phase XOne.

Both strings are red.

I think you sohuld low those tensions at least to 5%. JMO.

Thanks, but I am not looking to lower the tension. It plays well as is. I am interested in finding out about the string itself. I was just told that the Bi-Phase Xone is an arm friendly string, but the Kirschbaum Pro Line II is not. What can I use instead of the Pro Line II?

Pro Supex Big Ace is quite a bit softer in my own experience, and it still has the red color (not quite the same, but just about)
but lowering tension on the mains a couple of pounds will make it softer, and lock in the crosses and help prevent major movement. and the polyester will still control the shot well enough that you shouldnt notice too much of a difference.
