Backhand slice help

I try moving forward, shifting weight, swinging fast/slow high to low but it always pops it up and it doesnt even cross the net

Your face is too open at contact. Make sure your face is square and not open.

You are chopping at the ball too much.

Slice backhand is more like "hitting" the ball with the outerside of your hand rather than karate-chopping the ball.

Kind of like slapping somebody with your outer hand.
